Hi, I’m Amy. I travel with a sketch book and set of watercolours to paint where I’ve been.

My first backpacking experience was in my early twenties when I worked and travelled my way around Australia and New Zealand. It was a major learning curve. How to adapt to a new place, new people, new climate and how to not fall apart when things didn’t go according to plan. I wanted travel to stay a big part of my life, so I found a job that revolved around it and was introduced to the Far East.

When I first travelled to Southeast Asia I found a whole new array of sights, smells and flavours – like nothing I’d ever experienced before. I was only in Thailand a couple of weeks but as soon as I was home I immediately wanted to be back.

After visiting Southeast Asia on other holidays and work trips I wanted to see more. In late 2016 I embarked on an eight month trip focused solely on Southeast Asia. Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. I like to take my time when I travel and try not to treat it as a tick box exercise so I still have lots more to see!

I’ve visited over thirty countries across the world but I constantly find myself drawn back East. I started Little Amy Tours to share my experiences and hopefully some useful tips. I only write about places I’ve been to and all the photographs and artwork featured are my own.
